“Article insinuating that Hrithik asked for a large percentage of profit for Shuddhi is baseless, untrue and completely uninformed” he tweeted.

Hrithik Roshan was initially to star in K Jo’s film based on the famous novel, Immortals of Meluha. However, the hunk walked out citing unavailability due to some reasons and not wanting to delay the project because of him. An immediate buzz surrounding the profit matters started doing rounds.

“Karan Malhotra the director and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi. For now I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan Malhotra in Agneepath” said Hrithik, while talking to PTI.

Hrithik had a lot of personal setbacks last year; starting from an invasive brain surgery to a painful separation from wife Suzanne. The actor who was injured on the sets of ‘Bang Bang’ continues to shoot for the project. However, Hrithik has been taking it slow with too many personal issues taking precedence.

The earlier speculations that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are likely to star in the film have also been out to rest by Karan Johar, who confirmed that he has not signed anyone for the film yet.

Shuddhi will be directed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame.
