Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has decided to ban Divya Spandana aka ‘Kuthu’ Ramya to act in a new movies for a year. This decision has been taken by KFCC President Basantkumar On Tuesday March 22nd, 2011.The reason to impose a ban on her is she was not attended the promotional event of her forthcoming film ‘Dandam Dashagunam’.
KFCC President Basantkumar Patil told to the media that he would write letters to film industries of other languages too, asking them not to engage Ramya in their films for a year.
The actress Ramya was not attended the promotional programmes of her upcoming film ‘Dandam Dashagunam’,which is produced by Ganesh, who is the KFCC general secretary. As per the reports the producer Ganesh has taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh from actress to complete the film but delayed in repaying Rs 3.75 lakh. So the actress was away from the movie promotional events.
The KFCC president also asked producer Ganesh to clear dues of `3.75 lakh before the release of the film Dhandam Dashagunam.
Reacting to the news of KFCC’s decision to ban her, Ramya asked what did she do to deserve it.
“Is it for helping a producer when he was in a financial crisis? Is it for asking my money back? What is the use of this ban when I had already announced my decision to quit?” she said.
But some of the producers also supported the actress Ramya and they asked to ban the Producer Ganesh for not paying her money back.
