Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has recently won the second National Award in Best Actress category for her natural performance in box office blockbuster film ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns, ’, has been doing only high performance oriented roles lately.
The actress, who has recently wrapped up the shooting of ‘Rangoon’, is currently holidaying in Europe. Soon after her return, she is expected to start the shooting of another lady oriented film tentatively titled ‘Simran’. In the film, Kangana will be seen as Gujarati girl. Hansal Mehta, who has directed hard-hitting films like ‘City Lights, ‘Aligarh’ etc., has chosen another real life incident to make ‘Simran.’
The film is said to be a crime thriller. Kangana is already discussing with NRI Gujaratis to prepare for her character. The film is expected to be another potential award winning film for her. Regular shooting will commence from June.
