Kalidas Jayaram is not a name that Malayali audiences have forgotten at all. The son of the star couple Jayaram and former actress Parvathy, the very talented boy made his debut in Sathyan Anthikkad’s movie Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal as a child artiste.
He then won a national award for his performance in yet another kiddie role in Sibi Malayil’s Ente Veedu Appoontem. Both times he played his father’s son onscreen and carved his name into the hearts of Mollywood fans.
For a decade or so then, we didn’t hear much about the youngster as he was, like many others his age, focusing on his studies. Recently he came out with a big bang at the Vijay Tv awards, when he mimicked on stage some of the biggest stars in Kollywood – right in front of them. All in good fun and with complete respect of course!
Proving once again that he was his father’s son, and had inherited his showmanship and gifts as an artist, Kalidas’s act went viral among Malayali and Tamil fans alike on social media and was the talk of the town.
And now, we have breaking news folks!
The rumour mills are reporting that Kalidas will be the lead in Aashiq Abu’s next venture. Though we don’t know much about this yet untitled project, this is exciting news for many and a combination many never saw coming!
After the disappointing Gangster starring Megastar Mammootty, Aashiq Abu had talked about making a movie based on the popular internet sensation song – Maahile Penningla Kandikka – but nothing more was heard on that front.
It was said initially that that proposed film would have Aashiq’s wife and actress Rima Kallingal in the lead. Is this the same project that will now have Kalidas in the mix too?
