Recently we reported that Kajal Agarwal, for unknown reasons, was acting a bit too ‘pricey’ for her own good. The producers of Suraaj’s upcoming Jayam Ravi starrer had approached the diva with an offer but she demanded a paycheque of Rs 1.5 crores which left them reeling!
It was a bit unexpected as sources indicate that right now Kajal lacks any real project in the south.
Instead of maybe cutting back on her demands, this seems to have spurred the starlet in to making more. In a highly competitive industry, this is obviously a gutsy or perhaps a tad short sighted call Kajal made, and now within a matter of days, she has paid the price.
The producers of the flick in question approached Trish Krishnan for the part and she has given her official green light to go ahead. Keep in mind, the movie has two leading ladies – the other part being played by Anjali.
Anjali’s character is more of a country girl and the other female character is more of a modern one, which is what prompted the producers to consider Kajal in the first place.
Well, Kajal’s loss has become Trisha’s gain… end of story.
Trish has worked with Jayam Ravi before in Unakkum Enakkum almost a decade ago and recently completed the flick Bhoologam with the actor as well. So clearly their on screen pairing is quite a successful one and let’s hope the Suraaj one follows suit.
