The mania surrounding superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Kabali’ is gigantic to put in words.
The much expected and awaited film is all set to hit screens worldwide on July 22. Kabali has been planned for a mammoth release in the US. No other South Indian film has so far released in 400 screens in the US, but Kabali is the first to do so. The film’s distributor Cine Galaxy revealed that despite the advance booking opened in 400 screens, tickets got sold out in just 2 hours, indicating how eager people were to watch the film.
The situation in India and other parts of the world is not much different. Tickets are being sold like hot cakes, and fans are not shying away from shelling out a few thousands of rupees to grab the tickets on very first day.
Kabali has set the South Indian record by doing a pre-release business of close to Rs 200 Cr.
