The action brothers Anbumani and Arivumani, who have been working as stunt directors in the industry were removed from the South Indian Cine & TV Stunt Artistes Union for violating the union rules regarding the stunt performances.
As per the reports, under the pretext of rehearsals these two brothers were forcing the actors to perform dangerous, rope-based action sequences for films such as ‘Madras’ and ‘Kabali’. Apparently, this is a violation of the rules of the Union. So, the governing body of Union has decided to expel them. On Monday, an emergency meeting was organized and Union leader Super Sundaram looked after the arrangements for the meeting. Stunt masters from various languages also attended the meeting. Leader Sundaram declared that Arivu and Anbu masters have violated the rules and they decided to remove them from the Union.
Anbu and Arivu have worked for films like ‘Madras’, ‘Kabali’, ‘Mercury’, and others. They are currently working on Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming science fiction flick with Ravikumar, and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Pon Manickavel’.
