Super Star Rajinikanth’s Kabali is gearing up for a release on 22nd of July. The makers are making sure that the film won’t land on torrent and to seek the legal help, the film’s producer Kalaipuli S Thanu moves High Court. The producer wanted no pirated copy of the film to appear on torrent. The producer filed a petition to stop the illegal download of the film by about 180 named websites and countless unknown sites. The Hugh Court will bring this case for hearing on Thursday.
Tamil Nadu Anti-Piracy Cell too is also named in the petition. More than 70 percentage of the revenue is generated online by the illegal downloads and pirated copies of the film. But on a legal note, the people are paying only 30 percent. The producer wanted his film not to be found on any of the illegal sites. Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film also stars Radhika Apte, Kishore, Kalaiarasan, Dinesh, Dhansikaa in the lead roles.
