Karan Johar’s Shuddhi that was to star Hrithik Roshan is still delayed as the director is searching for the male lead. However, the internet is now flooding with baseless rumours and the recent one added to it is that Aamir Khan will be playing the main lead. If you thought this was funny, some portals took to casting Karan Johar himself for the role!! K Jo took no time to retort back.
“I AM PLAYING THE LEAD IN SHUDDHI!! Sounds Ridiculous?? Well as ridiculous as some of the news reports making the rounds!!!” he tweeted.
The much anticipated project that is a screen adaptation of popular novel The Immortals of Meluha has been seeing many hurdles especially with casting. While Hrithik and Kareena both walked out of the project citing personal and dates issues, the speculation that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be playing the leads was doing rounds. But Sanjay Leela Bhansali just confirmed that his dream pair of Ram Leela will once again star as Bajirao Mastani. Meanwhile the names of Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra were also doing the rounds.
Just yesterday, a heinous report stating that Hrithik Roshan backed out because he was unhappy with the profit percentage was out. Karan Johar went hopping crazy when the news was circulated. He immediately did some damage control via Twitter – “Article insinuating that hrithik asked for a large percentage of profit for #Shuddhi is baseless, untrue and completely uninformed” he tweeted with an angry tone.
