Legendary director K Balachander has been awarded with the prestigious Akkineni Nageswara Rao(ANR) National Award for the year 2010.He directed the memorable films like Maro Charitra, Anthuleni Katha, Rudra Veena,Bomma Borasu and many more.
The award will be presented by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to the director K Balachander on January 11th at Shilpakalavedika in Hyderabad. Director will be honored with memento and Rs 4 Lakhs cash for this award.
They are presenting this award since five years. The past winners of the award include Dev Anand, Shabana Azmi, Anjali Devi, Vyjayantimala Bali and Lata Mangeshkar.
