Just in: Anjaan tickets sold out!

Well there is anticipation and then there’s pure frenzy! N Lingusamy’s Suriya starrer seems to draw the latter kind of attention to itself as is evidenced by its ticket sales. Advanced booking for the opening day’s shows started a couple of days ago and as per the latest reports – guess what folks – it has been sold out!

Anjaan-Movie-tickets

Yes, but hold on… there’s more. Not just the first day, but rumours indicate the next two days may be completely booked as well!

So it seems the massive promotional campaign launched by the Anjaan team has paid off, and the movie might be destined to be a smash hit after all. Unless of course it falls ridiculously short of expectations in the first two days itself – but that seems highly improbable given the talent involved here.

Anjaan’s trailer has passed the 1 million views mark, though it is surprising that it hasn’t gained more of a viewership in the five days since its release.

Suriya stars in double roles in this action thriller set against the backdrop of the Mumbai criminal underworld. The leading lady is the lovely and vivacious Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and the rest of the cast includes big names like Manoj Bajpai, Dalip Tahil and Vidyut Jamwal.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the tunes for this flick and it is being produced by Lingusamy under the banner of his company Thiruppathi brothers, in association with UTV Motion Pictures.

Anjaan is also being released as a dubbed Telugu flick titled Sikander just a few days after the initial Tamil worldwide release. Suriya has a loyal fan following across the states in the south, and more over, the movie is also being released in the UK across 58 screens, creating a new record in the process.

Sources say the production budget of the flick came to around Rs 65 crores. So what do you think fans? Is Anjaan going to be the biggest box office wonder this season?

How will it fare against the current hits like Velai Illa Pattathaari and Jigarthanda?
