Sunil can be termed as one of the most hard working actors in Tollywood who could make a mark as a lead actor despite beginning a career as a full-time comedian. He rose to prominence with his extraordinary comic timing and hilarious expressions, and when he chose to become a full-time hero, there were many eyebrows raised within the film fraternity as well as his fans. But he stunned the audience with films like Maryada Ramanna in which he played a completely mellowed hero. When people questioned his fitness levels and looks, he took it as a challenge and chose to make over his own style. Sunil did a phenomenal job in toning himself with respect to looks and needless to say that he is a fantastic dancer as well.
The comedian turned confident lead hero Sunil has many good films under his belt since the beginning of his career. He did roles involving comedy, sentiment, action and of course brilliant dancing skills as well. While Sunil readily accepted many comedy roles in the earlier days, he seems to have become quite choosy after becoming an established hero in Tollywood.
Unlike the other film circuits in the south, Tollywood has been a class apart in terms of its making standards and the grandeur. But most importantly, it has strongly believed in one point, ‘Entertainment.’ This is one reason why many Telugu films are filled with comedy and Tollywood is also blessed to have some fine breed of talented comedians. Now, if you have to point out and say who is Baap of comedy and hard work in Tollywood then what will your choice be. First in the list is Sunil, who has redefined humor with his antics.
Unlike other actors, Sunil spent his birthday in a unique way. He celebrated his birthday in a simple manner with blind children and donated 2 lakhs to Devnar School. Kudos to Sunil Varma for his contribute to blind children.
Now, Sunil is geared up to entertain the audience with his upcoming movie Jakkana, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on July 29th. This film is surely going to create a laugh riot in theaters. Interestingly, Sunil rose to stardom as a hero with Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna, and now co-incidentally he resorts to Rajamouli’s name to hit the purple patch. Besides this film, Sunil also pipelined “Eedu Gold Ehe” under the direction of Ragada fame Veeru Potla. Moreover, he will be seen in a key role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film.
Chitramala wishes best of luck for his glorious career!
