Bollywood is now tuning to this mantra. Soon after Deepika’s statements on the media, big shots in Bollywood decided to avoid terms like items for girls. Actors like Amir Khan gave statements that the term item shouldn’t be used for heroines or in fact girls.
This means that there won’t be any item songs in Bollywood. These songs may in turn be called as special songs. Any wordings that are considered as insulting heroines will be removed soon in Indian film industry. Media too is aiming to change its angle of showing heroines in India.
Analysts are saying that media may change its rules towards positive side, once film industry removes all the words which are considered as ‘cheap’ by the heroines of film industry. Looks like, major changes are expected to happen in Indian film industry, more specifically Bollywood.
