Income tax sleuths are conducting the raids on the houses and offices of Tollywood stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Anushka and Raviteja simultaneously. The raid was started on today morning (March 23rd, 2011), presently the raids are still going on.
As per the reports IT officials also raided the residences of Akkineni Venkat (Brother of Nag), Annapurna studios and producer D Siva Prasad Reddy of Kamaskhi movie banner owner and also a close friend of Nag.
Sources from Income tax department say that there were a few irregularities found in advance tax assessment in the income tax of these actors. Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya is also charging almost equal remuneration to do the films. Apart from movies Nag also has his investments in entertainment channel, restaurants and a convention centre in Madhapur.
Anushka, who purchased the house recently in Journalist colony and most of them, knows that she also purchased a land in Vishakapatnam, which is in trouble now. Hero Raviteja also charging more money for his films.
IT officials found a lot high transactions done between different accounts from these actors.
