When they get a script that allows them to get a makeover and change in their career choices. they are not leaving them. They use that and get a new makeover and avatar which the script demands. Puri Jagannadh who is known for showcasing his heroes in a never before stylish avatar has given many makeovers to many star heroes like Mahesh, NTR, Ravi Teja, etc. Now he teamed up with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram for a movie titled ISM in which we are getting to see a new Kalyanram who is sporting a six pack. Everyone is surprised to see this new avatar of Kalyanram and are waiting to watch on screen. This movie is produced by Kalyanram Nandamuri under his NTR arts banner. Let’s see how it works on us as it is releasing today.
Story
Satya Marthand (Kalyan Ram) is head of Grand Leakage company which is started in the lines of Wikileaks. He goes after Javed Ibrahim aka Javed Bhai (Jagapathi Babu) to uncover corruption and lot of scams. To get to him, he makes his daughter Alia Khan (Aditi Arya) fall for him and collects all the information and leaks it online deceiving her. She goes after him to marry which results the government know his identity. How they both unite?? How he fought against corruption and what is the solution he gave?? forms the rest of the story.
Cast and Performance
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is terrific in his role. He has gone for a complete makeover and has done fantastic job. He has improved a lot and lot in this movie in everything compared to his previous ones. Aditi Arya is good and is very glamourous. Jagapathi Babu as Javed Bhai is nice and has done performance to his caliber. Posani Krishna Murali is entertaining. Vennela Kishore is humorous and generated few laughs. Ali is good. Thanikella Bharani and Gollapudi Maruthi Rao are nice. All others are good.
Writing Department
Story of ISM is good and simple. Screenplay could have been much better. Dialogues are good and entertaining.
Technical Departments
Songs composed by Anup Rubens are fantastic and are highly entertaining. His background score is nice and elevated the scenes very well. Cinematography by Mukesh is superb. Visuals of the film are so appealing and are delight. Editing by Junaid Siddiqui is good giving some scenes less importance. Action sequences are well choreographed. Production values of NTR arts is rich.

Verdict
ISM is based on the ideology of Wikileaks. First half of the movie begins with an illegal fight in Dubai where hero falls for heroine. This half is completely filled with romance between hero and heroine and also hero and villain. Story is not revealed in this half until the last few minutes where hero leaks information on Javed Bhai. This half is entertaining and songs come at right places and are shot well. Second half begins with Kalyan Ram devising a plan to curb corruption and heroine and his father searching for hero. Actual story of the movie starts from here and it ends with the solution. We have seen many movies dealing with corruption but ISM is slightly different from them where makers address a solution to it. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Puri Jagannadh are to be appreciated for the pre climax scene and bringing out a new Kalyanram. A better screenplay would have created a huge impact on audience. Ignoring some scenes, ISM is an entertaining film from Puri Jagan and Kalyan Ram. To summarise, ISM is message oriented commercial film.
