Bringing the country’s best seller to life in the form of a movie, was not really a bad idea! It was ‘3 Idiots’ which minted at the box office and now ‘2 States’, which is the adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name, has done exceptionally well at the box office.
Arjun Kapoor who was already high on the success of ‘Gunday’ simply can’t stop gushing about the fact that he has delivered another blockbuster in 2014!
Well complimented by Alia, who was also high on the success of ‘Highway which brought her a lot of accolades, Arjun delivered a performance which he calls as ‘One of his best” yet.
The movie had all the things going for it- The promotions, An intriguing storyline (adapted from the novel), The Hype, A stellar star-cast and The backing of Powerhouse Producers- Karan Johar & Sajid Nadiadwala.
The film also marks the first collaboration of two huge Bollywood production houses- Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Productions.
In addition to the amazing response to the film by the audiences, the film has also been in news for the off-screen chemistry of the lead pair of the film, Arjun and Alia.
A special screening ,marking the success of the film was held recently where the crew of the film especially the lead actors Arjun and Alia were seen posing with fans and sharing their happiness.
After the special screening , Arjun was literally mobbed by fans who requested him to shake hands and pose for pictures. Arjun obliged happily.
The fans too, simply cannot complain as they were very well received by the stars who also heeded to all their requests.
On one occasion, Arjun Kapoor was seen clicking a selfie with a fan.
And on the other, both- Arjun and Alia were seen posing for pictures with fans.
The film brought life to an otherwise dull Box Office this year. Well, as viewers, we simply cannot complain!
The promotions of the movie were interesting as well.
