Actor Indrajith has proven himself to be a versatile actor over the years with a whole slew of different characters in his repertoire, but he does seem to have a special connection to our men in uniform.
Yes, after debuting in Meesamadhavan as a villainous cop over a dozen years ago, Indrajith has donned the Khaki uniform many times over in movies such as Chekavar, Left Right Left and most recently in Masala Republic which released a couple of days ago. And now, he is planning on doing it again in Jean Markose (John) directorial debut movie Angels; this time in the guise of an officer in the Special Armed Police Forces.
Jean is a successful RJ at Dubai’s Hit 96.7. The movie will start shooting on May 3 in Trivandrum though the lead actress has not been decided upon yet.
Asha Sharath and Joy Mathew are, however, in the supporting cast.
Indrajith was supposed to be playing a pivotal role in Lijo Pellissery’s Double Barrel a.k.a Eratta Kuzhal, before the movie got shelved due to the huge projected production cost. He was supposed to co star with his brother Prithviraj in the flick.
On another note, Prithviraj is not backing down from the cop roles either, as in his short career he has appeared in over 17 movies playing a police officer, including of course his currently running successful film 7th Day.
Well, whether cop or criminal, let’s hope the talented siblings keep bringing on the entertainment!
