DOHA: A Qatar Airways flight en route from the Philippines to Qatar was forced to land in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday after its pilot died on board. "Qatar Airways regrets to inform that the captain of flight QR645, operating from Manila to Doha, passed away on board," Xinhua quoted the airlines’ statement as saying.
A spokesman for the airways was quoted as saying the pilot, a 43-year-old Indian national, complained of chest pain and the co-pilot requested to land at KLIA at 11.30am. "The pilot was pronounced dead and the airlines changed the entire crew before the aircraft took off at 1.15pm," he said.(Agencies)
