Dasari Narayana Rao is an individual who truly stood for the film of the Telugu industry with his fair share of ups and downs. So, granted he is allowed to have opinions about movies and every other aspect of films but how much of an opinion can he have is the real question.
Dasari caused a revelation when he stated his perspective on actresses of our times which created some controversial interest over media. He explained, “No heroine in the industry is worth the value given to her. In fact, heroines who claim to be actresses aren’t actresses at all—they are only Item girls. In the past, actresses like Silk Smitha and Disco Shanti were allotted to fill in these gaps that a Telugu actress couldn’t perform. But, now, every actress is fighting their way to sign up an item number. Moreover, these present day heroines are not even surviving for five years. They just fade out and disappear after 5 years.”
This isn’t the first time that Dasari, a very strong opinionated man apparently, is lashing out on the heroines of our industry. He also said, “Heroines always attend award functions but not cinema functions.” Dasari has always made headlines through his movies and clashes with other key players in the industry but even targeting the harmless actresses that we love so much is taking it over the limit.
