Actor and Business man Arvind Swamy and his wife filed a petition in a family court for divorce by mutual consent. Arvind Swamy, who started his career with the Tamil film Thalapathi (1991), followed by the much-acclaimed Roja, Bombay, Minsaara Kanavu, Devaraagam and Alaipayuthey seeking divorce from his wife Gayatri.
Principal family court judge Ramalingam adjourned further hearing of the case to December 1. Arvind Swamy and Gayatri got married in 1994 and have a son and a daughter. They filed a petition for divorce citing domestic disharmony.
