Happy Birthday Cherry!

The entire team at Chitramala wishes the Mega Power Star Ram Charan a very Happy Birthday!

As he celebrates his 29th birthday today, we bring a list of the main highlights and milestones of his career as a treat for his fans!

1. Debut with ‘Chirutha’

Coming from a film family, there were no surprises on seeing Chiranjeevi’s lad following his father’s footsteps in Tollywood. He started with ‘Chirutha’ which wasn’t exactly appreciated for its execution. Ram Charan was thumped down by virtually all critics with some even going on to tag him ‘unfit’ for Tollywood.

2. ‘Maghadheera’- the blockbuster!

Having faced flak for his role in his debut, Ram Charan returned with a bang in his very next film. His dual role, that of a Warrior and a Bike Racer, earned him lot of accolades and huge fan-following. This Rajamouli-directorial venture which is the 2nd highest grossing Telugu movie, collected around 115 Cr and put him right at the top of the ‘Most Desirable Tollywood Stars’ list.

3. The disastrous ‘Orange’ !

Even though ‘Orange’ failed to create a buzz at the box-office, it had its music going on for it. Whatever little the movie earned at the box office, was possible only because of Harris Jayraj’s addictive music compositions.

4. ‘Racha’ comeback

This was one movie which solidified Cherry’s fan-following and position in Tollywood. He became more desirable over his contemporaries after the stupendous success of this film. His fans,by now, were mesmerized by his on-screen antics!

5. The debacle of ‘Zanjeer/Thoofan’

His tryst with Bollywood certainly didn’t start on a high as ‘Zanjeer’ failed miserably with critics slamming the actor for his ‘wooden’ expressions! The Telugu version of the movie,’Thoofan’, failed to create any impact too.
