Action hero Gopichand Celebrating his 31st birth day today. He is the younger son of the well known revolutionary filmmaker T. Krishna and broke into the scene with Tholi Valapu as hero.
Gopichand lost his father when he was just 8. His elder brother T.Premchand was working as an associate director, trying to carry on his father’s intent into Telugu films. Unfortunately he too passed away in a car accident.
Gopichand felt the need of someone to carry forward his father’s legacy. As his brother was no more, he decided to enter the film industry. After completing his engineering, he did dialogue modulation course for a year. Then he made his debut as hero with ‘Toli Valapu’.
After doing villain roles in Jayam, Varsham and Nijam, he got a good break with Yagnam movie which turned out to be a blockbuster.His last released movie ‘Golimaar’ has turned out to be a big hit.
The actor speaking to the media on Friday said “I don’t consider this day (birthday) as a special occasion to celebrate. But my family members create a festive atmosphere. This year the big success of ‘Golimaar’ is very special to me. I had a strong desire to do a film with Puri Jagannadh. It has been not only fulfilled but also bagged a very good success. The producers, distributors and all other associated with ‘Golimaar’ are happy. Directors who prepare scripts for me and producers who trust me are the people behind my success.”
