Haider has not only floored people in India, but has left an indelible mark on people all across the globe. The film has been awarded People’s Choice award in the Mondo Genere (World genre) category at the fete. And this is the very first time any Indian film has been awarded that title.
Shahid resorted to Twitter to share with all, he tweeted, “People’s choice in the main category at the Rome film festival .. A first for an Indian film . #haider . Proud and humbled”.
Along with this Shasha posted a picture with Film’s director Vishal Bhardwaj and captioned it, “1st festival 1st win . Too much . Wowzaaaa”.
Surely it seems the star cannot contain his excitement. And we just wanna say Shasha, there are many more Awards and accolades to come. Haider has been one of the finest Vishal Bhardwaj films and Shahid has acted phenomenally well.
Critical appreciation has come to Haider nationally and now it is time to go International.
