Enjoying the success of his latest film ‘Simmba’, Ranveer Singh is getting ready with his next release, ‘Gully Boy’. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are teaming up in a film for the first time with this flick.
‘Gully Boy’ has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. The movie is based on the life of Divine and Naezy (Naved Shaikh), underground rappers from Mumbai and their journey. Interestingly, the film will have songs crooned by Ranveer himself. The makers unveiled the trailer of the film. The 2 minutes 42 seconds video is all about Ranveer’s role struggling to emerge as a rapper and his lady love Alia Bhatt as a Muslim girl Sufeena. We can also get a glimpse of Kalki Koechlin in the film. The music is undoubtedly the highlight. The raps are superb. We can expect that Ranveer is going to score another big hit.
Farhan Akhtar in association with Ritesh Sidhwani is bankrolling this project under Excel Entertainment banner. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on Valentines Day, February 14th, 2019.
