It’s a big and bold day for Malayalam cinema as – My Life Partner – the first movie about homosexuality or rather about two homosexual guys in Mollywood history, is coming soon to theatres near you!
And no, this is not a political message movie, at least on the surface, or an artsy social awareness movie; instead it’s one with all the common elements of mainstream cinema like gripping drama, passionate romance and raw emotion.
M B Padmakumar who played the villain in Lohithadas’s Nivedyam is venturing in to the field of film making and picking up the megaphone for this frontier breaking movie. The plot revolves around two guys Richard and Kiran, played by Ameer Niyas and Sudev, who decide to live together as life partners and how things change or shift in to gear when one of them forces the other to marry a girl to have a child.
The couple feel that this is the only way to negate the emptiness in their lives and they plan to get rid of the girl, Pavithra who is an orphan, later. The tables are turned when initial lies become truths and forbidden secrets are revealed among close ones. The movie is hyping up to be an emotional rollercoaster of sorts.
Anusree and Sukanya take on the lead female roles in this movie produced by Rejimon under the banner of Keerthana Movies.
