‘Majnu’ the official remake of Malayalam super hit ‘Premam’ has the final cast and crew on the paper. Naga Chaitanya will be the hero in this film. Anupama Parameshwaran and Shruti Haasan will be the two heroines. The team that waited for some time for the third heroine has finally roped a heroine for this role.
After the rumours spreading the talk of Ayesha Sharma as the third heroine, the team finally announced Regina Cassandra as the third heroine in ‘Majnu.’
It is reported that Regina has no second thoughts when the director Chandoo Mondeti approached her with the offer. She saw the original version felt like being a part of it in its remake and gave a nod to do the film. Though the actress was well aware that her role in the film has a very less screen presence, she agreed to do with no conditions.
At present Regina has been roped in for Manchu Manoj’s ‘Shourya’ Gopichand’s ‘Soukyam’, Rana’s and Sundeep Kishan’s next.
Majnu is directed by Karthikeya fame Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Surya Naga Vamsi. Majnu will do its shooting in places like Visakhapatnam, Araku Valley, Pollachi, Goa and Europe. The director and the producer of this film are planning to release this romantic drama in the month of March 2016.
