F2 – Fun and Frustration Review

Sankranthi is one such a festival season in which makers try to release their movies to encash the holiday season. Every Sankranthi is indeed a festival for movie lovers with the release of new movies back to back. This Sankranthi too is one such season filled with many releases in the name of NTR, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Peta and F2 (Fun & Frustration). Except for F2, every movie is released into theatres without clashing with each other. F2 is a film which stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamanna Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzaada, directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Dil Raju. This movie is going to be a laugh riot with Victory Venkatesh back to his superb comedy timing, going by the promos. Let’s see how it works on us.

Story

Venky (Venkatesh) is PA to an MLA who don’t have a family. He earns well and seeks a companion. Matrimony guys set his marriage with Harika (Tamanna Bhatia) who hails from an eccentric family. He then starts to experience the flaws of her and her family. Varun (Varun Tej) is a local guy who is on a plan to set up his restaurant. He has a girlfriend named Honey (Mehreen Pirzada). They are on their plans to get married and he too starts to experience the flaws even before marriage. Both Venky and Varun with the suggestion of a neighbour, fly off to Europe to teach a lesson to Harika and Honey on the marriage day of Varun. Do they succeed in their motive? What does Harika and Honey do to get them back?

Cast and Performance

Victory Venkatesh has got his kind of hilarious character after a long time and he did his best and made the audience jump on their seats with their laughs. Varun Tej did fine in his role and he too managed to complement Venkatesh. Tamanna and Mehreen are good. Rajendra Prasad and Prakash Raj entertain well. Annapurna and another actor who did granny role are nice. Pragathi, Vennela Kishore, Srinivasa Reddy, Nutan Naidu and Prudhvi are good. Every character that comes in the movie did well.

Writing Department

The story of F2 is good and the screenplay is written well. Dialogues are written with a sole motto, that is to make the audience laugh.

Technical Departments

The songs of this film are composed by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad and are good to hear. He did fine work with background score. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is good with good support from art department to make visuals look colorful. Editing is fine and production values are grand.

Verdict

F2 is a story of a frustrated husband and a frustrated fiance and how they solved their frustrations is the crux. Director Anil Ravipudi who entertained the audience with his previous three movies has done superb work with this movie. He has written hilariously screenplay. The first half of the movie is filled with so much fun and laugh generating frustration which makes the audience go rofl. The second half too starts off good but goes into an emotional mode which looks so superficial. Director told everything in a comedy way and that seems awkward at times. This movie has that Venkatesh whom we have enjoyed seeing in the movies like Malliswari and other in a very chilled out and hilarious way. He is the biggest advantage to the movie and everyone comes next to him. He literally, outshined every other actor with his body language and funny antics. To sum up, go watch F2 to have some good laughs.
