The 60th Idea Filmfare Awards South was one of the colorful and grandeur events held recently. The entire film fraternity of South Film Industry gathered to embrace and participate to make the show a great success. Walking away with most number of laurels were the films Eega and Gabbar Singh. S S Rajamouli’s Eega bagged five top awards while Power Star Pawan Kalyan won the Best Actor Male for his splendid performance in Harish Shankar’s Gabbar Singh, the biggest blockbuster of the year. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu proved that she was more than just a cute petite actress as she walked away with Two Filmfare awards for Best Actress Female, both in Telugu for Eega and Tamil for Neethane En Ponvasantham (original of Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu).
