Kala Ratna, the prestigious award by Andhra Pradesh government is conferred to Dr Ghazal Srinivas for the year 2011. Dr Srinivas received the award on the hands of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy today at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium amidst stalwarts like Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Dr C Narayana Reddy, Director Bapu, Nerella Venu Madhav, Prof CR Rao, Dr M Balamurali krishna, General KV krishna Rao, and many. The award is given every year for the legendary personalities of Andhra Pradesh those strive towards the arts and culture.
