Double Barrel still remains very mysterious as far its plot or genre goes, though it gives off the vibe of being an action thriller for all intents and purposes. The main cast of the movie is the biggest attraction of it so far – Prithviraj, Indrajith and Fahadh Faasil!
Indrajith, now, has revealed some details about the movie to the press. Apparently, the movie is going to be shot in a retro style and will be set in the 1970s in Goa. This means that all the characters will be in full period attire for the film including bell bottoms and sideburns!
Prithvi and Indrajith will be playing two characters named Pancho and Vinci.
Lijo says the flick will concentrate heavily on the style factor, and will deliver on the ‘cool’ factor. Indrajith referred to it as a ‘Pulp Fiction – esque’ movie! Now, that would be a treat indeed, if Lijo successfully brings a Tarantino style film to the Mollywood audiences.
But there are a few concerns here obviously, especially given that the last flick in recent times to concentrate solely on the visuals and the wow factor was Aashiq Abu’s Mammootty starrer, Gangster, which turned out to be a disaster at the box office – and Lijo’s Double Barrel is expected to cost much more than that in terms of sheer production value!
We’ll have to wait and see how the film progresses and if it gives the audiences a ‘visual treat’ to remember..
