Banjara Hills police have registered domestic harassment case against ace director Sreenu Vaitla for harassing and assaulting his wife, Roopa.
As per police report, Sreenu Vaitla’s wife Santoshi Rupa approached the Banjara Hills police on 15th October alleging that her husband assaulted her after an altercation. Following the assault, Rupa left their house at Journalist’s Colony and went to live with her parents at Yousufguda.

Police registered a case against Sreenu Vaitla under IPC section 498-A, based on the complaint lodged by Rupa. However, on 16th October, Rupa, through her advocate, filed a petition expressing her desire to withdraw the case. After counseling the couple, police will decide about the future course of action.
Sreenu Vaitla married to costume designer Roopa over a decade ago, and they have three daughters. They spotted together in many events, and she also designed costumes for several Sreenu Vaitla’s movies.
