Kollywood director Selvaraghavan, who directed "Aadavari Matalaku Arthalu Verule" in Telugu with Venkatesh and Trisha in lead roles, is entering into the wedlock with his sweetheart Geetanjali on July 3rd, 2011. Selvaraghavan’s engagement with Geetanjali was held at the bride’s residence on yesterday (February 10th) at 10.30 am. The marriage date has been fixed and it is going to be held on July 3rd, 2011 in Chennai.
Selva Raghavan is the son of film director Kasthuri Raja and elder brother of actor Dhanush (Rajinikanth’s son-in-law) .On 15 December 2006, he married actress Sonia Agarwal, with whom he has worked in three films. After their two year long marriage Sonia Agarwal and Selvaraghavan had filed their divorce with mutual consent in a family court on Chennai 9 August 2009.
Selvaraghavan later fell in love with Geetanjali who was his assistant director and they have now decided to take their relationship ahead with marriage.
Geetanjali’s parents Advocate General of Tamilnadu P.S. Raman and his wife Padmini Raman hosted the engagement which also marked the presence of Selvaraghavan’s parents, director Kasthuri Raja & his wife Vijayalakshmi
Rajinikanth and family, Kamal Haasan and Gauthami, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, and Yuvan Shankar Raja graced the occasion.
Tollywood hero Venkatesh and his nephew, actor Rana Daggubati were also present at the event and so did Abbas along with his wife and designer Erum Ali.
Selvaraghavan’s new film with Rana in Telugu was under consideration but nothing has confirmed so far.
