Sangeeth Lewis, the director of the movie Ennu Swantham Ilanjikkavu P.O, which was supposed to be the on screen debut of politician P C George, has been arrested for murder! The charge is that of murdering a youth named Dipu over a year ago by pelting him with a stone. The director had been at large without bail for the year while the two other accused have been behind bars.
P C George, the politician, is a favourite with the media with his humorous speeches and witty comments. He has been cheered and criticized by the people many times for his attitude, as one supposes, with all politicians. The movie was to be his debut wherein he played the Home Minister of Kerala – not quite a stretch for him and maybe even a perfect launch pad for other cinematic work…
The flick, the future of which is now uncertain, was to have the national award winning Salim Kumar in the lead with plenty of other big names like Jayaram, Biju Menon, Meera Nandan, Bheeman Raghu and Spadikam George forming the supporting cast.
The details of the charge against Sangeeth and his plea to the charge are unknown at this point though this is sure to be a topic of discussion in the news media for some time to come.
