Akshay Akkineni is making his directorial debut with the Hindi movie, “Pizza”. Akshay,who hails, from the Akkineni clan is making his debut by remaking the hit Tollywood horror film, “Pizza”.
Yes. He does have a filmy background. And if you’re wondering how is he relate to Nagarjuna, well, he’s not. Akshay Akkineni is the son of famous movie editor Srikar Prasad Akkineni.
While speaking to a prominent media house during an interview, Akshay, “Right from my childhood, people have been asking me this. I still don’t have an answer to that. Perhaps, three or four generations back we might have some family bonding. But none of us know the details. So, at this moment, we don’t have connections with Nagarjuna’s family. That we respect Nagarjuna’s family for their work is a separate thing. They deserve respect for their contribution to Indian Cinema.”
Akshay is making his debut into Bollywood and his maiden film is popular south film “Pizza”.
Speaking about the film, Akshay says, “The film’s plot has become wider and global. I have made a lotof changes to the film.”.
“Pizza” is the official Hindi remake of the Tollywood film with the same name.
“The total film is shot in 3D with TS5 equipment which is usually used for Hollywood films like Spiderman, Transformers,” adds Akshay.
