Dhanush is about as enterprising and talented as the younger stars can aspire to be in Kollywood, and the national award winner has set some standards with his notable performances, mass appeal and ambitious reach in to all avenues of film making.
Now, the young star is making his mark in Bollywood for a second time, with the Hindi film Shamitabh and that too opposite none other than Big B himself!
Now, one would assume it Dhanush would be nervous and intimidated by the legendary actor but quite the opposite in fact – he has build a good rapport with Bachchan Sr.!
Yes, in a candid interview of the director of the flick, R Balki, he opened up that directing two national award winners together would have been an arduous task for any director but the fact that both of them share such a good chemistry – on screen and off – has made it pleasurable for him.
In fact, Bachchan seems to have taken the polite and humble young actor under his wing, in a manner of speaking, as he has been giving him small lessons in Hindi to get his pronunciation just right, so that he can deliver his lines effectively.
Way to go, Dhanush! Being friends with the legendary actor aside, having him for a mentor is something else entirely!
Dhanush’s shooting for Shamitabh did cause a few problems back home in Kollywood with his other projects in the works though.
But honest with himself as ever, Dhanush recently made it a point to admit his mistake instead of defending it to the ground against the somewhat offended producers, and made it clear that henceforth he will be doing only one Hindi film and one Tamil film a year.
His upcoming Tamil flick, Velai Illa Pattathaari (VIP) released its trailer a few days back and has been getting quite a huge response from the fans.
So, all in all, good times ahead for the very deserving Dhanush.
