Siddharth Srinivasan, the director of the critically acclaimed film Pairon Talle (Sand of Souls), was instructed by a Delhi court to provide a separate room for his wife Divya Bhardwaj at his house.
Bharadwaj had earlier moved court seeking justice and accused her husband and mother in-law of domestic violence. She complained that she is not allowed to live in their shared house.
After hearing her plea, Additional Sessions Judge directed Srinivasan to provide her a separate room with attached toilet after getting convinced that Bhardwaj was a victim of domestic violence.
She also alleged that her husband produced a Hindi film with her financial support and that she had taken huge loans for it. She further claimed that her husband squandered all the money she had acquired and left her with huge debt.
