Apart from setting the record as the highest grosser in the history of the Indian film industry, “Robot” is into yet another controversy. Recently, a Tamil writer Mr. Aarur Tamilnadan has filed a suit against the makers of the film, following which the Madras High Court has issued notices to the film producers, the Sun Pictures. The writer claimed that the storyline for the film has been taken from his short story ‘Jughiba’ which was penned by him in 1996 and was even published in the Tamil magazine Iniya Udhayam the same year. The HC directed the makers of the film and director Shankar to reply by November 18. Earlier, two Tamil writers and a famous Telugu novelist had filed petitions that Shankar has copied their story.
