Without any surprises, Guillermo Del Toro’s science fiction romance The Shape of Water has won the Academy Award for Best Picture at the awards event ceremony that took place at the Hollywood studio in California. The film, which was nominated for 13 awards in total, had previously won in the Best Production Design and Best Original Score categories too. While Gary Oldman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance, Academy Award for Best Actress was claimed by Frances McDormand.
