City techie in German Bakery blast

A city techie was killed in the terror attack at the German Bakery in Pune on Saturday. Two of her friends were also killed.

P. Sindhuri, 22, was at the bakery with her friends — Shilpa Goenka and Bineeta Gadani — to celebrate on the eve of Valentine’s Day. Sindhuri, an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Ranchi), had joined the Indian arm of Amdocs seven months ago.

Her family stays at Marutinagar in AS Rao Nagar. Sindhuri’s body was brought to the city on Monday morning and the last rites were performed at Alwal crematorium.

Sindhuri’s mother, Ms P. Kalyani, said, “She had joined Amdocs on July 27 last year. Sindhuri was an intelligent student and had a lot of dreams to fulfil. We are still not able to believe that she is no more with us.”

Sindhuri’s father works for ECIL as technical manager and she has a sister studying in Chennai.

She was staying in a rented accommodation along with her friend Bineeta Gadani in Magarpatta in Pune.

The family is a native of Ellayapalem in Nellore.

Though Bineeta had to attend her sister’s engagement in Mumbai, she came down to Pune from Mumbai to celebrate Valentine’s Day with her friends.

Sindhuri’s family was informed about the tragic incident by Amdocs officials.(DC)
