The notorious censor board seems to be troubling the debut Bollywood film of Australian cricketer Brett Lee.
A Hindi film titled ‘UnIndian’ starring Brett Lee and Bengali actress Tanisha Chatterjee is all set for release on August 19. The film marks the debut of Brett Lee in Bollywood. It is known that the star cricketer has bid adieu to cricket a few years ago and is currently staying in the limelight as a commentator.
Reportedly, there is 58 seconds long lip-lock scene between Brett Lee and Tanisha during the climax of Unindian. Censor Board is heard to have asked to cut the kiss scene to 26 seconds to allot certificate but film’s director Anupam Sharma is refusing. He quoted the example of ‘Udta Punjab’ controversy where the High Court advised CBFC to only certify the films and not cut.
The film has not yet cleared the censoring.
