In a shocking development, the Universal Star Mohanlal has been hospitalized today for severe leg pain! The actor, it seems, has been having trouble with the pain for some time now but refused to get it treated as he was busy with his shooting schedules earlier.
However, today, after four days of severe pain the actor was rushed to a private hospital in Kochi for medical attention. The doctors then diagnosed it as a case of spondylitis .
Though a surgical procedure was advocated by the doctors, it looks like that won’t be happening now. Lalettan, as he is referred to by the fans, has been prescribed medication and a complete bed rest for the next few days.
As per reports received just hours ago, he has been discharged from the hospital and has been asked to follow the treatment plan prescribed.
Fans of the actor are drawing a breath of relief and wishing him a speedy recovery.
Mohanlal’s upcoming movie is the comedy entertainer Peruchazhi, directed by Arun Vaidyanathan. The flick’s producer Sandra Thomas said they would wait for the actor to recover to launch the audio of the film.
The movie is set to release on this August 29th. The trailer has so far received positive responses from the viewers.
Peruchazhi also stars Mukesh, Baburaj, Aju Varghese and Poonam Bajwa and was shot mostly in the United States. In fact, the film currently holds the record for the longest shoot abroad for a Mollywood movie and also for being the first one to be shot at the famous Universal Studios in Hollywood.
Let us hope that Lalettan recovers soon and is hale and hearty by the time the film hits the big screens…
