The season of romance is evergreen. Bollywood and romance are almost synonymous with each other. There were some soulful tracks of 2014 were the highlight of the year. Any good romantic movie is incomplete without a romantic track. Much so, even in action films there are good numbers which prove to be the essence of the film. While rounding up the year, we bring to you the most ear-pleasing numbers that have made 2014 special!

1.Zehnaseeb from Hasee Toh Phasee

This really romantic track from Dharma Productions’ Hasee Toh Phasee, is very sweet and one hums it still. Such is the melody! Shekhar Ravjiani and Chinmayi Sripaada have lent the vocals and we can’t help but fall in love with the song.

2.Meherban Hua from Bang Bang

The scorching chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif is highlighted very subtly and the track is appreciated by one and all. Sung by Ash King, Shekhar Ravjiani and Shilpa Rao, and lyrics by Anvita Dutt Guptan, all of it makes this rendition a really soulful one.

3.Teri Galliyan from Ek Villain

Be it Shraddha’s unplugged version or the Ankit Tiwari rendering the beautiful number, Teri Galliyan from Ek Villain has topped the charts in the long run and is also one of the romantic favies released this year!

4.Samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

The Rahat Fateh Ali Khan number given a perfect twist by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, was mellifluous. And when Alia Bhatt unveiled the unplugged version of the same, the song became even more charming and sweet.

5.Aaj Phir Tumpe from Hate Story 2

An old classic given a very classy treatment by Arijit Singh, Aaj Phir Tumpe has rocked the charts this year. Even though the film didn’t do wonders at the box office, the song and its depiction grabbed too many eye balls. Yes we are talking about the electrifying chemistry between Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali.

6.Muskurane Ki Wajah from Citylights

This Arijit Singh number, Muskurane ki Wajah from Citylights movie, ruled not only the charts, but also our hearts. It is a very melodious song and while the movie didn’t sell on the basis of money, this beautiful track added more mettle to the film.

7.Harjaiyaan from Queen

Quite a sleeper hit, Kangana Ranaut’s Queen is what we all loved and enjoyed. And not to forget the really amazing tracks it has! Amit Trivedi’s composition and Nandini Srikar’s sweet voice made Harjaiyaan what it is.

8.Khul Kabhi from Haider

Penned down by Gulzar Sahab and sung by Arijit Singh, Khul Kabhi will make you fall in love. It is euphonic and you will want to hear it again and again.

9.Manwa Laage from Happy New Year

Indiawaale were impressed by Farah Khan’s musical heist film, and the very tuneful song by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh is still holding a strong foot on the musical charts. Shah Rukh and Deepika’s blazing chemistry became the talk of the town.

10.Suno Na Sangemarmar from Youngistaan

While the flick was a dud completely, Suno Na Sangemarmar lives still. It is very romantic and Arijit Singh’s voice is rhythmic and it lingers on.

11.Jiya from Gunday

It is agreeable that a song like Jiya didn’t fit much in a film like Gunday, but it just doesn’t stop us from being awed by the track. A wonderful and harmonious track is one that made waves earlier this year.

12.Sajde from Kill Dil

Be it the picturisation, or Gulzar sahab’s opening credits, Sajde from Kill Dil is extremely romantic track with beautiful lyrics. Ranveer and Parineeti recreated magic on the screen.

13.Pataka Guddi from Highway

Maestro A.R Rahman just poured rhapsody in Highway’s album and Pataka Guddi became an instant hit. The movie was amazing and so were the tracks. But we just got glued to Pataka Guddi.

14.Mann Mast Magan from 2 States

A slow romantic number crooned by Arijit Singh and Chinmayi Sripada, with Mast Magan we found connect almost in an instant. The two leads of the film, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt added more charisma to the song.

15.Baarish from Yaariyan

Sung by Mohammad Irfan and with additional vocals by Gajendra Verma, Baarish was a raging success. Yaariyan as a film was horrifying, but Baarish, made hearts melt.

16. Ishq Bulava from Hasee Toh Phasee

Sanam Puri’s voice in the ears and the mesmerizing lyrics, Ishq Bulava can be deemed to a really romantic track of the year. It made our hearts flutter to its beats. Also Shipra Goyal added more sweetness to the song!
