Bollywood 2014: Comeback by Yesteryear Stars

Yester Year Actors in 2014

It has been quite an eventful year for Bollywood and while newbies were seen debuting, the old ones who have already ruled the space were seen making excellent comebacks in 2014. Yesteryears stars were seen in full-fledged roles on the Silver Screen and we couldn’t help but awe!

Here we compile for you the Top 5 Comebacks which excited us.

1.Madhuri in Dedh Ishqiya and Gulab Gang

Madhuri Dixit in Gulab Gang

The Diva of Tinselville, who made our hearts go Dhak Dhak with the brightening smile, Madhuri Dixit Nene made an excellent comeback with films like Dedh Ishqiya and Gulab Gang. She was appreciated for her roles and poised charm. And those who missed the Diva’s dancing skills, were given a chance to witness that in Dedh Ishqiya. Keeping to her forte, Madhuri mesmerized us in ‘Humari Atariya Pe’ and our hearts were fluttering.

2.Juhi Chawla in Gulab Gang

The bubbly actress whose smile and beauty makes all go weak in the knees, Juhi Chawla was seen in a negative role in Gulab Gang. And her performance was worth all the applause. Not only did she impress all with her grey-shade skills, but seeing once contemporaries Madhuri Dixit and Juhi in a single frame was an absolute delight.

3.Govinda in Kill Dil and Happy Ending

Govinda in Kill Dil

ChiChi had quite a downfall in his career, but he came back with a bang and also with a set of six packs in 2014. He did a cameo in Akshay Kumar’s Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, but got acclaim for his portrayal of Bhaiyaji in Shaad Ali’s Kill Dil. In Happy Ending, we saw him shake his leg and also flaunt his fitter, muscular frame.

4.Rani Mukerji in Mardaani

Rani Mukerji in Mardaani

At the beginning of the year, Rani surprised us all by tying a knot with Aditya Chopra and becoming Mrs. Chopra. And mid-year, she amazed us all by her Mardaani avatar. Rani ruled hearts and garnered ceetis and taalis for her role of Lady Police Officer, Shivani Shivaji Roy. He was gleefully accepted as Lady Dabangg of tinselville.

5.Rekha in Super Nani:

Rekha in Super Nani

While we were really looking forward to seeing Legendary actress, Rekha back in a full-fledged role, we were left disappointed as the film turned out. Bad script and direction ruined our upped expectations. But we would be lying if we didn’t like the grace the actress still has. We might not have liked Super Nani, but we surely want to see Rekha back on screen in better role and avatar.
