The biopics trend is currently going on in Tollywood. Mahanati which came out as the biopic of veteran actress Savitri already became a super hit. Nandamuri Balakrishna is busy in filming the biopic of a legendary actor of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. Now, director Dr.P.C. Aditya announced the biopic of popular actor Kantha Rao. He was one of the most prominent actors in 1950s and 60s who used to give strong competition to star actors at that time, NTR and ANR.
After entering into the industry in 1951, Kantha Rao became a hero with ‘Pratigna’ movie. P.C.Aditya stated that they are doing this biopic in order to tell the story of the actor’s personal and professional life. He added that Kantha Rao was one of the talented actors but because of some people, he faced so many financial troubles during the last days of his life. He further added that the title song of their movie ‘Cheekati Velugula Sangramam – Chitraseemalo Nee Payanam’ is already on Youtube and the auditions for the lead roles are taking place.
