Big B’s nightmare revealed

He may be saying ‘Bbuddah-Hoga Terra Baap’ in his next film, but Amitabh Bachchan is facing a tough time matching dance steps with the young dancers and choreographers on the sets of his home production.

"My knowledge of dance has been excruciatingly minimal. And now with the modern day choreographers and dancers that have developed a style of their own, it is tough going for me!" Amitabh posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com.

The 68-year-old, known for his typical dancing style, has been rehearsing hard to pick up the steps.

"Matching the dance steps of the younger lot today is a nightmare for me … desperately rehearsing in spare time to not look foolish!" he posted on his Twitter page.

"Really … the artists fascinate me on this issue. I see others lazily flow into a song and come out looking like a million bucks!! They must be terribly well designed to pick up what the move expects from them, in a jiffy. When I in the meantime keep seeking rehearsals, and retakes," he added.

‘Bbuddah-Hoga Terra Baap’ is being directed by southern director Puri Jagannath.

Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma is excited about teaming up with Big B once again for ‘Department’, which will see the megastar in the intense role of a gangster-turned-politician.

"Am mighty excited about the role Mr. Bachchan is playing in ‘Department’ … he’s playing a gangster turned politician. Imagine the ‘Agneepath’ character turning over a new leaf and yet to have the same hard intensity and been there done that know how," RGV posted on his Twitter page.

The two have earlier worked together in ‘Sarkar’, ‘Sarkar Raj’, ‘Aag’ and ‘Rann’. ‘Department’ was also supposed to feature Abhishek Bachchan, but he has now been replaced by southern actor Rana Daggubati.

"I highly respect Mr. Bachchan and am highly affectionate towards Abhishek and the reasons for the changes in ‘Department’ are nothing but date issues," he added.(IANS)
