Bharateeyudu is the Tamil vigilante film written and directed by Shankar and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Kamal Haasan in dual roles with Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Sukanya and Goundamani appearing in other pivotal roles. The movie released in the year 1996. The film focuses on an ex-freedom fighter turned vigilante bent on rooting out corruption. A sequel is on cards right now and the makers started the preparation for the same.
During the trailer launch of Vishwaroopam 2, Kamal Haasan gave an update on the project. The actor said that the second part of the film is going to be intense. “Bhrateeyudu is highly political and in the same manner, the second part of the film will also be an angry political film,” said Kamal.
