Yesteryear heroine Bhanupriya has recently revealed in an interview that she got marriage proposal from then top director Vamsi.
It may be recalled that Vamsi has directed Bhanupriya in three classic films like Sithara, Anveshana and Aalapana. Although these films have heroes, the stories revolve around the heroine only. It looks like the stories were written only for Bhanupriya. Rumors were spread at that time that Vamsi was madly in love with her and he spoiled his career after she rejected his wedding proposal.
In a recent interview, Bhanupriya confessed that she indeed got wedding proposal from Vamsi but she refused to divulge what her response was.
It is heard that Bhanupriya’s mother forced her to reject Vamsi’s proposal as the director was already married by that time. Later, Vamsi and Bhanupriya never worked together.
