The critic expressed in his review that Besharam is a major misfire in every possible way, and why such a talented young man like Ranbir, after working in notable roles with films like Wake Up Sid, Rockstar and Rajneeti, chose such a downgraded script and screenplay. “’Besharam’ is the kind of joyless film that compels you to wonder if a fat paycheck can sometimes be the only incentive for talented people to go to work”, wrote the ace critic, who is clearly super disappointed with the film as the rest of us, marking it down to 1 on 5. The film that caught everyone’s attention with its major promotion on top reality shows and star tours, failed miserably at the opening, with fans of Rockstar walking out in dismay. While Ranbir played great roles so far in his career, it proves very vital for him to not to choose wrong scripts in the process of climbing up the ladder.
