Bangalore Days Trailer Mixed Reaction!

The Anjali Menon flick with the star studded cast, Bangalore Days Trailer ( releasing tomorrow on the 9th), was launched yesterday evening at 5 pm and for all intents and purposes, it looks pretty good – but apparently not everyone thinks so.

Some fans, albeit maybe a small section, found the sneak peek in the much anticipated film’s plot underwhelming and verging on disappointing! Nitpickers? Perhaps…

But most felt the trailer was intriguing and the ‘feel’ of the movie to be youthful, with a touch of feisty Bollywood styling in the mix.

So here’s the gist of the full two and a half minute trailer:

Three lifelong friends – Arjun/Aju ( Dulquar), Krishnan PP (Nivin) and Divya Prakash (Nazriya), live their dreams and face destiny in a dream vacation they had always planned to take in the city of Bangalore. Aju is the wayward troublemaker, Divya is the traditional but rebellious girl and Nivin is thee teetotaler who hates complications.

Nazriya is married to a rather stern seeming guy played by her real life beau Fahad Faasil, Nivin is interestingly paired with Isha Talwar and Aju is seen working with Parvathy Menon as a radio jockey. Aju’s destiny or passion seems to involve dirt bike racing and there is also a glimpse of Nithya Menon in the preview.
The trailer winds up with an interesting reference to a dialogue from Dulquar’s debut movie Usthaad Hotel, in which the Late Thilakan’s character declares thus: “There is a thing called destiny… and no one can stop that.”

The narration covering the trailer is by Krishnan, from his perspective (maybe the movie too?). The supporting cast, most of them playing the parents of the trio, includes veterans like Vijayaraghavan, Manianpilla Raju and Praveena among others.

The music is perfect for the premise and the visuals look colorful and refreshing. So the fans wait eagerly for tomorrow, May 9, when the movie comes out.
