Stars of this generation are known for hiking their remuneration if they score just one hit. But, one will be amazed after knowing how much a 4-decade experienced actor like Balakrishna Nandamuri has charged for his prestigious 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni (GPS).
As per sources, Balayya has taken Rs 8 Cr remuneration for GPS. Considering the craze for the film, makers have reportedly offered him to the tune of Rs 10 Cr but Balayya has reportedly taken what he felt deserving and returned the remaining amount asking them to use it to make the project in a grand manner. Makers were highly impressed with Balayya’s commitment and dedication.
As per trade reports, the worldwide distribution rights of GPS have been sold for whopping Rs 50 crore. If we include the satellite, audio, digital, dubbing and other rights, the total will be in excess of Rs 70 crore, the highest in Balayya’s career.
